An important Islamic duty

the most important and lasting gift or inherence that we can give to our children is konowledge since as parents we are accuntable to their success and failure.the prophet SAW make it very cler that we are accountable to respective families/children
Alhadis clearly show how the prophet SAW commands us muslims to be responsibel to our respective families.
when we teach islam to our children,we raise them to be righteous and responsible muslims who will subsequently treat us with kindness and respect
Allah in many ayat of the quran has commanded us to please our parents after pleasing him.
"worship none but Allah and dutiful and treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need;speak fair to the peopel ;and give zakat..."(2:83)
in line with the above Qur'anic injuctuons is the commonly quoted hadits, which show how the true muslim must be more dutiful to his parents than any other person in the world:
Abu hurairoh narrate that a came to Allah`s messenger SAW and said,'O Allah`s messenger !who is more entitled to be treated with the best companionship by me?"the prophet SAW said,"your mother."the main said, who next?"the prophet SAW said,"your mother."the man further said, who next?"the prophet SAW said,"your mother."the main asked (for the fourth time),who next?"the prophet SAW said,''your father."(Bukhori 8/2 and muslim 4/6180-6183)
Islam teaches us it is for our succes that we must obey Allah i by showing our utmost kindness and respect to our parents.we must also obey them for as long as they do not command us something that disobeys Allah I.we have to remember that if we please them,we please Allah I.this means, that through our parents we can attain Allah`s rewards
we must know that islam teaches us to show goodness to our parents by including them in our daily prayers that Allah I will forgive them and grant them mercy:
"o my rabb!make me one who performs prayers and (also)from my offspring, our rabb and accept my invocation.our rabb!forgine me and parents, and (all) the believrs on the day when the reckoning will be established."(14:40-41)
knowing the importance of islamic knowledge,it is imperative that we encourage to spend time acquiring it.
we must also guide our children to be prompt in ding good deeds, which will increase our faith and subsequntly enable us to gain allah pleasure and marcy
